What happens when after the petition of mutual consent divorce if any?
If one of the parties does not appear in court on the date designated, that person is in default and the Judgment Award goes to the party who showed up. However, if there was a Settlement Agreement that was agreed to and signed by both parties, only one party (or lawyer) has to show up at the court Hearing and present the signed Settlement Agreement and the Judge will most likely approve it as is.
