What happens after my spouse divorced me after filing a petition to?

You can apply for Removal of Conditions by yourself on the basis of divorce. You should request that USCIS change your existing Removal of Conditions application from joint filing to self-filing on the basis of divorce. If that wont work because it was already withdrawn, you can file a new I-751 Removal of Conditions application yourself on the basis of divorce. Self-filing cases Removal of Conditions can be filed at any time, even after your conditional green card expired, without needing good cause. If your divorce is already final, you include a copy of the final divorce decree with your application. If your divorce is not yet final, you file your I-751 first, and then provide a copy of the final divorce decree later when they ask for it.
