How can a divorce case under rule 13 and a restitution petition under?

How can a divorce case under rule 13 and a restitution petition under rule 9 of the Hindu marriage act be taken for trial as one case? It can be done lawfully. The cases are between same parties and involving same facts. So as per law they can be clubbed together and disposed of at the same hearing. The cases will retain their separate identities, but evidence and arguments will be common. There will be a common judgement, though relief granted, if any will be separate. Both sides will have right to file appeal if aggrieved.
