Can a wife file a divorce petition in a place where she temporarily?
In India, under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and the Special Marriage Act, 1954 the wife can present divorce petition where on the date of presentation residing. The term residing will include both permanent as well temporary as is clear on the date of presentation of petition, that need not be place which should be her permanent place of residence it will include even the place she is working and living on the date of presentation of divorce petition.
