Can a husband withdraw his divorce petition?
Both you and your wife would have to agree, otherwise it just goes forward. If you just filed it and your wife has not been served, you can go to the county clerk and take the paperwork out before it enters the court process. If it's past that point, you both have to show up in court and ask for a voluntary dismissal. That also requires a lawyer, but it stops the divorce. If it's too late for that to happen, then you would have to discuss that with a judge just prior to final decree. Again, both sides have to totally agree to do this or it's a waste of time.
