Will there be any legal issue if I change my surname to my PAN Card?
At this point of time you continue to be the wife of your husband. Had you continued your maiden name on the PAN, it would have been different. Now any change of the PAN carrying your post-marriage surname may give scope for drawing unwarranted surmises. Further, much depends on the reasons for seeking divorce and whether divorce will be granted. If you have any compelling reason/s to revert to the maiden surname, better discuss with your prospective advocate before applying for change.
