To file for a divorce petition, I dont have a marriage?
In a divorce petition proof of marriage is very rarely necessary. Think, if the Opposite Party claims that he/she had never married the petitioner where is the need of the divorce proceeding? To answer your question, mere assertion of marriage will do. If the point is contested (I don't know why should one do that) you may lead oral evidence to prove the point.
