Bipolar or Borderline?

What you are describing is reactive, not episodic. Something happens throughout the day, your mood changes in reaction to it. This is not indicative of bipolar disorder To be manic, you must be awake for at least 7 days with extreme talkativeness, flighty ideas, grandiosity and severe impulse control issues that otherwise would not be there. A manic individual is frantic and mania is not always pleasant. Anyone around a manic individual can tell something is wrong with them. Someone who is bipolar will spend more time not in mood episodes then in them. Generally speaking, the bar for really rapidly shifting bipolar is at 4 times a year, not 4 times a month, week, or day. The more and more you have the less and less it is typical of bipolar disorder. You also don't seem to be describing severe depression that can last weeks. Bipolar II would usually present more as very severe depression and occasionally 4 days or more of unusually elevated mood less to a degree then bipolar. It would be seen in both 1 and 2. What you are describing is more in line with the cluster B's but it could just be your personality. Not everyone whose got dysfunction in their life is mentally ill. Nothing said here sounds at all to me like bipolar. We aren't doctors here, so you'll have to go to a medical provider.
